DMB Games Game Tile System

Created by DMB Games

What is the DMB Game Tile System? The DMB Game Tile System is a Modular system that allows you to build anything from single encounters to sprawling tabletop scenes. The system is designed to be used for any game you want to play from Dungeons & Dragons to Frostgrave, Warhammer and beyond. The Tiles are Fully Modular, with the walls and floor separate from each other so you can create any layout you want to. They are available hand painted, finished, and felted by our studio painters or if you prefer they are available unpainted as well.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Small Update - Where are we
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 09, 2018 at 06:23:02 AM

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know whats going on. Just before we get in to the meat of the update, the timescales that i quote in this update are as accurate as I can make them at the moment, and where i need to rely on outside sources, like courier services etc, they may bend a little.

As always there is no confirmation that your order has been sent until you receive a Tracking Link from me, tracking links will be sent to the email that you used for Kickstarter.

You should also get a notification from Backer kit to say your pledge has been posted as well.

I will also try and send an update every Friday to let everyone know where we are with shipping pledges out.

Unpainted Pledges

All Unpainted Orders that have Cracked Flagstone & Gothic Tiles in them, and those with no core set pieces are ready to be Sent, and will be sent either today or Monday depending upon when i can book the courier to come and pick up all of them.

Any Unpainted pledges that have Fieldstone Floors or Walls are being cast at the moment, and they will go out early next week, hopefully Monday or Tuesday.

Small & Medium Pledges

The remaining pledges that are core sets or small orders with no core set pieces will be sent in the next 2 Weeks.

Large Pledges

Anything that is between the small & medium sets and the Master of the dungeon Sets will be we hope to have sent before the end of  November, but it could bleed over in to the first week of December.

Master of the Dungeon Sets

The Master of the Dungeon Sets are being painted along side the other orders, so hopefully they should reach everyone by Christmas, but we will give you more of an update as soon as we know more.

As always let me know if you have any questions, via message or email, or pop a comment on here and ill answer to the best of my ability.

Thanks

Andy @ DMB

Deivery from the Caster
over 5 years ago – Thu, Nov 01, 2018 at 02:12:47 AM

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update today as I’m busy in the Workshop getting Unpainted orders sorted and inking tiles!

I just wanted to let you know that we received the last shipment of items from the Caster Yesterday, and I have just finished sorting through it.

It contained all the bits we where waiting on from them including Large Decorative walls and Pillar sets! I have included a picture of the large decorative walls at the bottom of the update!

This means the only piece we are currently waiting for to fulfil the Kickstarter is the Sepulcher.

We are re making the mold in it as casting it as one piece has put to many air bubbles in it.

We will be casting it as a multiparty kit that means we can give you the best possible product.

I have all the pieces for the master cast and will have the new master made by the end of today so we can remake the mold and start churning those out.

We aim to have all the unpainted sets out by the end of next week (9th November) and the other sets will continue to leave the workshop as they have been.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding through this, I know we are delayed by 5 months from original fulfilment date and October was the revised date when we saw how much we would need to produce, and we are trying to fulfil as quickly as we can.

As already please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need anything from me.

Thanks

Andy @ DMB

October Update
over 5 years ago – Tue, Oct 16, 2018 at 09:18:49 AM

Hello Everyone,

It’s time for our Monthly Update.

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet because I am currently full of the Flu and should really be in bed, but I wanted to give you an update on what is happening.

Some Kickstarter pledges have been leaving the workshop, not quite as fast as I would like, but they are going, we have so far dispatched another 15 pledges since the last update (including show pickups.) I have another 10 on my desk (mostly accessory only and pledges with accessories) waiting for the varnish to dry and for pieces to be felted that need felting.

We also have 5 unpainted pledges that need double checking and packing up, so they should be winging their way out to people this week. This only leaves 3 large Unpainted Pledges and a 2 that have Fieldstone walls and Spiral staircases in them.

The reason for this is we had a little issue with the Fieldstone walls catching a lot of air bubbles, in the undersides of the stones, and I thought it was far too many to send out to you guys, so we had to remake the wall molds for those, which include the large walls or the spiral staircase, but the molds have been re-done and we are casting as many of those as possible.

We are still waiting on some items from the caster, but they are the larger complicated items like the Large decorative wall sets, and the items that take a long time to cast like the Large Pillar sets. We have pretty much everything else cast, and most of the pieces that are not cast yet are the tail end of the production runs, so very shortly the rest of the time in the Workshop will be painting, rather than split between the two activities which will help a lot.

We are not quite as far along as id like, with sending out individual pledges, but we are much further along with the Kickstarter as a whole than I had expected to be, which while I understand that doesn't help you guys as you don't have product in your hands, it does mean that we are closer to the final fulfillment than I expected to be - which can only be a good thing.

Assuming I can stop coughing for long enough to hold a paint brush today I aim to finish the accessory pieces I have on my desk there will be some more going out in the next couple of days.

I’ll do another update with pictures and fun stuff towards the end of next week, including the new pieces that we have produced, and the discount code for you guys to use on the web store.

Thanks for your support and patience while we get the KS out to you all.

 Thanks Andy @ DMB

Update - We are About to start shipping some of your Pledges!
over 5 years ago – Thu, Sep 13, 2018 at 11:32:59 PM

Good morning,

Its just gone 6 am here in what I'm hoping today will be sunny Essex and I'm just writing you an update before heading out to the workshop to pour more resin and finish painting some more sets.

Delivery Address and Locking Addresses

First things first - You will have received a notification from backerkit asking you to make any final changes to your pledge and lock in your address.

I am going to have to ship stuff as it is ready and i don'y want to cause a delay by not having your address right in backerkit.

This does not mean your pledge is ready to ship, it just makes sure i have the right address to ship it to when it is.

First Two Pledges Received

Excitingly our first two pledges have been received, and both the recipients are very happy with their pledges.

John picked up his Pledge at Tabletop Scotland and here is a nice picture of us together

All in all Tabletop Scotland was an amazing show, superbly organised, well attended, it was a pleasure to be at, there was a lot of interest in the tiles, and lots of people after the bits from the Kickstarter like the Pillars and Dungeon Entrance, but no one got to walk away with any, as you guys come first for those new bits!

We did sell a few core sets though so that is a good thing, and it means I can pay bills and feed myself for a while which alleviates some of the pressure I was under in the last update, so thank you to everyone who replied and gave me their opinion.

Whats Next?

The next package from our casters arrives today and it should include all the small pieces needed to finish off the reward sets, including rubble piles, books, pots, skulls grain sacks and more.

This is a big thing for us as we need thee small pieces to finish around 60% of the pledges.

Any Unpainted sets will be packaged and sent as soon as possible, if the courier arrives early enough I'll be taking them to the post office today, if not then I'll be doing it Monday morning, and any painted sets will be put through the paint mill this weekend and sent out early next week.

We are still waiting on some of the extra bits like more pillar sets and double door sets but at least we can get one step closer to fulfilling those pledges.

More Updates to come including pictures of various buts and pieces along the way.

If your not already following us on Instagram (dmbgames_uk) or Facebook please do as i post lots of work in progress pictures up there, as its much easier than using the clunky Kickstater update system.

Thanks to everyone and ill have more updates soon!

Updates and Descision Made
over 5 years ago – Tue, Aug 14, 2018 at 01:44:22 PM

Another great day in the workshop, loads cast and a huge amount painted and ready for the quickshade.

We have core sets, cavern sets, floor sets, magic circles and other decorative tiles, narrow corridor sets and accessories like Crates and Treasure Chests ready to be shaded and felted.

Thank you to everyone who has responded to my last post and the Kickstarter update about what to do about sales and shows. I have decided on what new pieces I will be taking to Tabletop Scotland with me, and I’ll be revealing them over the next few days.

I will be doing s mixture of Option 1 & 2 using some of the old moulds I have here that I didn’t include in the Kickstarter, but a lot of them do compliment the pieces offered on the Kickstarter.

We have a new Floor style for the dungeon sets, a new wall set for an existing range. We also have some new accessories, a starter set for a new(ish) tile set that I never got round to releasing properly that will have new floor, walls and doors, for it, and we also have some other random floor tiles and pieces for the existing dungeon tiles line.

None of these things involved me making any new molds so there is no time away from the Kickstarter fulfilment from that point of view just a few days where I will need to cast and paint the tiles for the shows.

If I have time to paint them up I’ll also be taking a few core sets and a few cavern sets with me as well.

Watch this space for pictures and more details over the next week or so showing the new pieces with prices and details on how those of you who backed the Kickstarter can order them with your discount should you so wish.

Thanks to everyone for your support, kindness and understanding about everything, I appreciate it greatly.

Andy @ DMB
